In June 2018, SIMEX was delighted to be chosen as the official contractor, implementing a collaboration to train two courses: Import-Export Business Operations and Customs Procedures for 15 specialists and management staff of the Business and Customs Procedures Departments (E&C, P&C Dept.) over two weeks at the Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical LLC - NSRP.
With lectures designed to delve into reality, along with senior training experts, solid in expertise like Mr. Le Sai Gon (Director of SIMEX), the two courses have helped specialists and management teams at NSRP comprehensively evaluate theoretical issues related to current import-export operations, while helping students effectively solve practical problems that arise. Through the successful implementation of its two teaching packages at NSRP and high evaluations from students, SIMEX is honored to contribute to the professional development of import-export business and customs procedures at NSRP, as well as contribute to the economic development of the North Central region and the country in general.
Regarding the NSRP enterprise, the Nghi Son Refinery project was born under the investment of four major groups: Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam), Kuwait Petroleum Europe B.V. (KPE), Idemitsu Kosan Company of Japan and Mitsui Chemicals Company of Japan. As one of the leading economic projects in terms of stature and contributions to the prosperity of the country, it plays an important strategic role of the Vietnamese Government in meeting the increasing demand for refined petroleum products due to the rapid industrialization and modernization of the country.
The Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical complex is 260km south of Hanoi, located in the Nghi Son Economic Zone, in Tinh Gia district, Thanh Hoa province. The project has a total investment capital of over 9 billion USD, the total capacity when put into operation is estimated at about 200,000 barrels of oil/day, equivalent to about 10 million tons of crude oil/year. The diverse refined petroleum products include LPG, unleaded gasoline RON 92, RON 95, diesel fuel, jet fuel, benzene, sulfur and many other rich products. The largest volume belongs to premium diesel fuel (2.204 thousand tons/year), regular diesel fuel (1.470 thousand tons/year), gasoline RON 92 and RON 95 (1.153 thousand tons/year).
