For the third consecutive year, the Saigon Import-Export Training and Consulting Center (SIMEX) has been selected as the primary trainer for the READY-TO-EXPORT (R2E) project, initiated by the Dutch Business Association Vietnam (DBAV). In July 2024, SIMEX was once again chosen as the partner to provide Senior Training Experts in International Trade and Post-Training Business Advisors. These efforts are part of the R2E project in collaboration with the organization ASSIST.
SIMEX’s Role in the Project
SIMEX is also recognized as an Advisory Partner by ASSIST and is tasked with delivering professional training programs tailored to Vietnamese enterprises. The project has been busy implementing its initial training packages in the third quarter of 2024 across three major cities: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Can Tho.
About the READY-TO-EXPORT Project
The R2E project aims to empower Vietnamese companies to achieve success in international markets. Funded by the Dutch government, this three-year initiative supports Vietnamese Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in accessing global markets, focusing on three sectors:
-
Agricultural Products
-
Horticulture
-
Manufacturing
Selected SMEs are invited to join an 8-month intensive training program at no cost, designed to enhance their export readiness.
Long-Term Goals
The overarching aim of R2E is to strengthen the capacity of Vietnamese SMEs to become reliable partners in the value chains of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) enterprises, Dutch companies, and Multinational Enterprises (MNEs). The program aspires to foster a competitive and trustworthy network of Vietnamese SME trade partners.
Short-Term Objectives
In the short term, R2E aims to:
-
Help Vietnamese SMEs successfully expand their operations internationally.
-
Position these SMEs as high-value partners for FDI companies and MNEs.
With its third year underway, the READY-TO-EXPORT project continues to pave the way for Vietnamese businesses to thrive on the global stage. SIMEX’s pivotal role underscores its dedication to advancing Vietnam's international trade capabilities.
